This question reminds me of King Solomon. Being informed is so much different from his time. We literally have information at the touch of a button. I would always say I want to know more about the Bible and history in general, American World and even Indiana history. I don’t think we can know enough history to help with our decision making and teaching for our future generations.
One amazing aspect to the iPhone is that news and news articles can instantly be on our phones and devices in seconds. I love receiving these from the Federalist, The Babylon Bee, Red State, The Gateway Pundit, The National Pulse, The Washington Examiner, and the Conservative Brief, Senators Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Commentators Dinesh D’Souza, Matt Walsh, Lara Trump, and Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) Updates. I get headlines from all of these at least weekly if not daily depending on the outlet or person.
Yet sometimes it’s too much information. I see videos and photos I wish I could un-see. Having information is a powerful tool it’s what you do with that information that shows your character.
I wonder if King Solomon ever regretted his knowledge? It was the downfall of his wealth. What good was his knowledge when he married women simply for the ties of gain; not love and not to women outside of his religion?
I also wonder what being blissfully ignorant would feel like at times!
