Blowing Us Away

Monday morning Mom and I walked as usual. Then the rest of the day was blown to the wind. Out of the blue I decided this time I would go with my parents to Grandma’s I hadn’t felt good for a few weeks staying away for a while. Also thinking I personally didn’t need to find anything more to bring home.

I was totally wrong, of course!

With all the ailments I was dealing with and I’m still dealing with allergies it was a while since I had been to the house. I wasn’t ready for what I was about to see. A dumpster and literally the insides of the house dumped by hand onto tables for a garage sale.

So I had to take a few deep breaths and take it step by step.

What I love about God is He is still centering us when we feel strewn about. We are always in His hands. There is a strength in having Him in my life, in our family. Tuesday may have rocked our world a bit, but my Aunt was very much in control of her mind and was ready to meet Christ. The rest she left to God, her Savior.

Can you say that for certain? Would you be able to say I am ready Lord take me home?

Don’t blow off God from your life. If you don’t have security in your eternal future death means you will be separated from Him unlike she was because she made her decision years ago.
