No wonder this kid loves tractors he was on them from birth much like I came out singing. These were taken in 1989 he was nearly 3 and this was Grandpa Lester’s tractor that is Dad’s now.
My brother’s birthday is today. This week has been filled with birthdays in our family. Tuesday was Dad’s first cousin’s birthday, she will always now have this memory of a cousin’s death.
Several years ago my birthday coincided with Neil’s death and it was actually his viewing night. I felt such guilt for a long time over not staying longer on the day of my birthday for my cousin’s viewing. It’s not easy and there is no real blueprint for these situations. For me it was my 21st that isn’t this situation fortunately.
However, Jared still has to work on his birthday which he doesn’t really mind I don’t believe. We try to do his birthday meal when his daughter can be around. Today doesn’t work since she’s in school and he’s working. There are other extenuating circumstances which will be interesting to work out.
Back in August though we had our Bishop Family Reunion and I got some awesome photos. I thought these would be amazing to use but at that time we were having a hard time with our Wi-Fi. Plus I wanted to use these photos and a little clip when it would be the best time. I think now is pretty good. Although Mothers Day would also be good but that’s too far to wait and this was long enough for me to hold on to these.
Do you ever wish your son would help in the kitchen more? There is one dessert my brother loves to make and I couldn’t resist how this looked. Mother and Son cooking together!
