Sometimes a woman doesn’t have to be forceful or loud to make a difference.

This morning one of the quiet headlines that ran across my screen came from the ‘Conservative Brief’. According to the read out on my screen it says, “Former First Daughter Ivanka Trump Makes Behind-The-Scenes Move with Surprise Trip”. Then underneath that continues to say, “She’s embracing a whole new life.” Written by Jon Dougherty today.

Once I got to the article the title said, “Ivanka Trump Traveled to Maui, Where She Provided Food, Supplies After Deadly Wildfire.” Before 2016 I really didn’t know much about either the Biden Family or the Trump Family except for the notoriety of Donald being a celebrity. I enjoyed his cameo appearances in films and television sitcoms.

So evidently I knew even less about the children of these very different men. There is a very big difference in the apples falling from these trees. Ivanka although her parents were divorced and she has seen her father in different marriages has been able to have a successful marriage herself and be successful in business.

Not long ago she made a decision while her children are young to not work in her father’s inner circle again for his campaign. You have to respect that decision as a mother; a decision not easy being a daughter who loves and respects her father. It was the right decision for her to make for herself.

That takes guts and clarity after already going through a brutal 2016 Campaign.

Plus don’t forget this woman has also lost her mother. Time is precious and she has been given pause to reflect on that I am sure. One has to admire her timing and the fact that this is so low key no one is talking about this media wise. She is not being media hungry or showing off this is another beautiful portrait of the dichotomy of these Patriarchs and their offspring and what they produce.

Trump’s daughter went to Lahaina and wore a name tag that simply said ‘Iva’. She visited a Church serving as a food pantry and was meeting the need and distributing fresh produce that was actually grown in Maui. “Her humble presence lifted spirits and reminded the people of Lahaina that they are not forgotten, ” She was working with a group called CityServe and they noted that statement. There are 6,000 residents that are now displaced and about 1,100 staying in hotels or Airbnb locations.

Ivanka was also able to use her connections to persuade other companies to donate goods to those in Maui according to the CityServe group. “Next week, a 747 filled with $1 million worth of supplies will head toward Maui with e-bikes, electric scooters, electronics, toys, dry foods, small appliances, ukuleles, and several pallets of Jockey clothing – ‘all becuase of Ivanka’s connection.’ the group said.”

Remember her father talking about strength through peace. Is that not what this American Woman is showing in these actions!

I feel extremely proud of this as a woman and a Republican. This was a beautiful action for her to take and she is still and will always be the President’s Daughter as each set of children are in each administration. She is leading by example.
