A Prayer… Softly Answered

My Aunt has had a difficult year and has been physically, emotionally and spiritually tested. Today has been emotional even not being at the hospital with the others in the family.

I have to admit I feel a bit fried and have cried sporadically today. I have a chunk of Grandma’s family photo stash and have been looking through them. Tonight we actually had a cousin over to give her some of the photos of her Dad and others. Honestly we have had time to see this as a possibility and yet it feels like it’s gotten to this point way too soon. This photo is one of those we were looking at earlier. I like this photo of her.

It was good to have family here, but it also was a way of keeping our minds busy. When I start thinking the waterworks come out gushing. Just typing out the prayer this morning took a lot of my stamina and will power and that was after I had put my energy into my ‘Evidence’ article.

Now both of my parents have lost a sibling. The silver lining, that seems really hard to say right now, is that she died in peace with her family surrounding her. She was prepared though, she woke up and met Christ today. Our prayer for a peaceful last breath was softly answered.
