Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.

Well two things come to mind. I always thought my shyness was a barrier to not coupling up sooner in life. Turns out God’s timing is always best and I have a relationship I wouldn’t have had if I was overly confident at a younger age. We both needed to become the people we are to fall hopelessly, madly in love. Even if I believed I could have that as a younger person would it have been with the right man as I feel it is now. Sometimes lessons are hard learned, but the results are sweet.

The other thought is becoming more inquisitive. It took Grandpa Leo’s death for me to learn to ask questions. I was the young girl who didn’t think to ask certain questions that would become very important to me. Grandpa had closed lips when it came to his service time, but I never had a chance to ask him. If I had known what to ask before he died maybe, just maybe I would have his thoughts on being in Europe what it felt like. He was actually in a lot of Europe during his time of service. Now I can only wonder what it could have been like.
