For Such A Time: A Prayer Warrior

The Praying Coach; Joe Kennedy. Silent Praying was his crime for being fired. His case went all the way to the Supreme Court where he was vindicated. It was a fight for religious freedom and it was won by a 6-3 ruling.

This Friday is his first game back on the field. The Bremerton Knights have been without this favorite Coach for 7 years last year when the ruling came down.

Last night the Coach was on “The Ingraham Angle” with Lara Ingraham. She asked. “First thing win or lose after the game?” Coach said, “Take a knee and give thanks for just being an American and part of the football team and having the constitutional right to exercise the first amendment.”

I remember last year several Supreme Court decisions came out last year. Some big decisions were made in the name of freedom and liberty for all. God is still with us here in America; He has not given up on us.

Do you know some prayer warriors? Are you one of them? Don’t give up on God He won’t give up on you!

This story came from Washington and Coach also knows the power of prayer. He served in our Marine Corps for 18 years. This is a man who should definitely be around our youth and could teach some young men quite a bit from his experiences. For him to have been barred from being around them for nearly 7 years as a Coach was a disservice to that Community.

Thank goodness he’s back in his job and able to do what his community has supported him doing since 2008 when he took this job as an Assistant Coach. To see this man having to go through this whole process and the legislative courts all the way up to the top with grace and piety is a man of character and integrity.

Don’t underestimate the power your witness has to others! Mordecai’s immortal words still ring true. “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
