Talking sports is not my cup of tea. Although, I did enjoy playing Volleyball for one year. I am not athletic; I’m an artist for a reason. Sports is something to enjoy for fans and a way for sportsmanship to be applauded and critiqued accordingly. Politics should not be a part of sports at all.
Yet here we are in 2023 after Kaepernick’s woke stance against the National Anthem. Americans are tired of field woke-ism taking over our rosters especially when it comes to our disrespect on the World Stage. The US Women’s Team lost to Sweden where their team of ladies actually look like a group of respectful and loyal Swedish women singing their hearts out to their own National Anthem.
What has happened to our athletes?
Football players don’t want to stand up for our values. Men who can’t make it legitimately with merit or talent decide to change a name and take drugs and say they are now a woman. Think they are able to compete with women who are in a competitive league of their own. Biologically, but also massively talented with downright determination and fierceness of a future, slightly because, it has already been fought for and it’s called Title 9.
No man has the right to make a decision that can set back Title 9 forever for women in sports. Women will be the one to decide if they want to make a decision to be in sports. Men will not take that choice from us to exist as a whole in sports. Women will not be erased so that a few men can feel better about themselves.
Yes this is personal and it should be for every man and woman. When a country devalues its women we as a nation become no better than the Taliban.
Think about that no better than the Taliban. Those women who have the right to look as they do as soccer players, because of their Constitutional Rights and because our Veterans are amazing. Looking at the photos of the Swedish Team next to the US Team looked horribly disrespectful to our Veterans who took that Anthem to heart during their terms of service.
I forgot though, life is all about me, me, me now. I have never had the luxury of thinking only about myself. My conscience and God won’t allow me to. I feel sorry for these ladies and men who have no backbone or person to correct their demeanor as I have in my life. We shouldn’t be rooting against the US, because our Team has no self-respect.
Are you parents? Do you want your daughter to undress in front of males in their locker rooms?
Our Veterans didn’t fight for the right to hurt women.
