Ladies… you like your girls time right or cousin time to have the ladies in your life around don’t you?
That is what I needed with Lilly, it was May we were both the same age again. There are three of us born literally every three months in the same year. I started us off in January, Lilly in April and Ian in July. I almost always remember what age they are because of that; emphasis on almost.
I believe Lilly made us some hamburgers that evening. Then I do remember she had a puzzle set up in her living room. It was pretty nice and I do love working puzzles. I guess I get it naturally from both sides of the family. I still have yet to work on one in Grandma’s new residence, it’s a puzzle lovers dream a whole room devoted to them and some games.
I even brought a few of my new movies with me so prepared, just not with a map earlier. Anyway, it’s funny cause there is a scene in what was still a pretty new movie National Treasure Lilly made the same comment that my dad did when we watched it before. No matter how many times over the years dad still makes that same comment when we watch this movie. Sometimes it’s irritating.

The next day was ironic. I went to be with Lilly in Evansville, but she actually had to go to Sullivan County to get her birth certificate. She and her sister were going to Mexico later on in the Summer. Talk about a road trip. Then somehow we had to pick up Justin her little brother at his dentist appointment at Washington.
However, I wasn’t driving and I still got girl time with my cousin. When we gassed up going back up northbound Lilly got some nacho cheese Bugles. I didn’t think they existed anymore and was thrilled she found them. This was just the highlight of the morning. It was the beginning of a day filled with driving though…
Do you have a road-trip that haunts you? Or does your family like to torment you about how you drive?
