I slept in a bit late this morning. Some stress has been taking its toll. Actually I feel like I have spent most of my day in my bed sleeping this off.
Fellowship Baptist Church has a special place in my heart. It’s where my Grandpa died after giving his final testimony and many other cherished memories. Lately I have been hearing some really good things about their new preacher. This truly does my heart good. So this morning I watched their livestream.
Once again, God gave me a blessing I didn’t know I needed. As I watched this livestream I got to see Pastor Hartman the first preacher serving the congregation when my family walked through the doors. He was sitting next to my dad’s cousin. A lot of emotions came up for me while watching this service.
Then the kicker happened. I thought the service was over, but then all of a sudden the Preacher was wearing the garb for the baptismal. Looking at that beautiful face I realized it was one of my little cousins getting baptized.
How on earth did I pick the exact morning my little cousin was to be baptized?
The tears just came out and I couldn’t stop them. It seemed like somewhat of an answer to a question I have been putting off and avoiding. It was quite an intriguing day. Is there anything sweeter than watching a child say yes to God. I finished a text earlier saying it took a little girl’s baptism and dinosaurs to make me feel better this evening.
The writing prompt for today was a fun question to answer.
