I haven’t really had a nickname per say. My moniker and my titles are my names. When my neighbor Lonnie found out my name came out JEB he had some fun with it. He liked to tease me about being named after the guy from Green Acres, I fact checked him. It’s Eb, not Jeb. I can’t fault him, except that his use of my monogram in front of my brothers gave them a new form of fun to use against me. The joke is on them because I like using my monogram.
Having the title of Aunt Jew until my niece could fully say my name was also a sweet sounding melody. Many of the endearments from my boyfriend are another kind of sweetness for my soul. I am grateful for what these names mean to me and how they are used by others towards me. The Lord is merciful and gracious.
