Never in my life have I wanted to be or thought I was a Ham. I have always tried to stay out of the limelight whenever I could. In school pretty sure I got the award for shyest girl of the 2003 Class of UHS.
Somehow the problem was that I was put into the potential public domain in different ways. God has had to wrestle with me on numerous occasions over being in front of crowds. In choir as a performer at Church, as a cashier and as a writer.
Can you imagine this shy girl and Speech Class?
Actually the Theater Director was my Speech Teacher. She was an incredible teacher. This shy girl may have still had a difficult time finding the right time in my large class to get up in front of the group to give the speech, but I survived each one of the 6 I had to do. At least I think there were 6 total. It has been a few years, you know.
Honestly, It was a good experience and learning from my teacher made the difference. I never in a million years thought I could be as comfortable and have as much fun in that class.
