Jewells of Thought

Around the same time June circled around us and I posted ‘June-Bride’ this word came across my phone. Have you heard of Aposematism? The word itself came across with the meaning of it following. I found this word vexing and intriguing.

I am a simple girl from the country. This word has not come across any book I have read or been in any of my studying through school. Although this word evoked peculiar ideas such as: loudness of character over merit.

Indiana is my home and being a Hoosier has always meant having mid-western values. Yet being a Hoosierette, I am very disappointed with the national stage. We are being portrayed in a bad light because of one northern Hoosier, technically though there are actually three men altogether.

In nature, many toxic poisonous or venomous plants and animals develop bright colors as a warning to other animals not to eat them. This is the definition for the word Aposematism. So when people tell you with their actions or very loudly listen to what that means.

There are a number of names I have heard for Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, I admit the one about pot-holes is as amusing as it is sad. As a Veteran I wanted to give him a chance when I first heard about him in 2016, but being a Democrat suggested our views would clash. The past couple of years have shown us his weaknesses and strengths.

As immune as I am to the Secretaries charms; the Left’s media loves him. This is his strength. His weaknesses though, overpower that for most of the American public who just want the man to do the simple tasks of running the Transportation Office to the best of his ability.

Completing tasks does not seem to be high among the list. Leaving that Ohio Community for as long as he did was embarrassing. What happened to his sense of duty from his service time. I can’t comprehend the insolence in his demeanor and pray that his refusal to visit had nothing to do with them living in Trump Country. His job is meant to work for the American people parties don’t matter in his position only what he does with his title and staff.

Vice President Mike Pence, says one thing and then lets his actions cost a righteous man his office. I do truly believe he did have the authority and ability to stop the certification according to the Constitution. Why did he give in so easily when he had the gavel at hand. If he was a Godly man why did he betray his running mate, his boss as well as 81 million voters maybe more.

Lastly, would be Senator Todd Young. His voting record does not comprise a man of mid-western values like he wants us to believe. He has fallen victim to voting with the Democrats on issues he needed to be firmly with the Republicans on. From the Ukraine War, the Border, the Chips Act, to voting in Biden’s unruly and unqualified staff instead of opposing them. He would be called a RINO, as Trump likes to call them Republicans in name only. Bowing to the Democrats lead on certain issues.

All this shows me is that when people’s actions are shown you must listen. Some are arrogant to actually speak things like the Vice President recently saying the population should be decreased, not the pollution as her speech actually says. Take note of the little details and you see what means the most to them. Why do people want to look Holier than they really are? Is there something they don’t want you to see underneath so they use charismatic buoyancy to cover up their motives.

Is it funny or ironic what we Country Folks can figure out with a little common sense? I have always been proud to be a Hoosier, but we need some better leadership either by prayer, voting or simply throwing ourselves into the Political Arena. It just might be the only way to find more American mid-westerners with moral candidates.
