What a good question for our times. This is something I have had to deal with on various levels. In some way this is where the nuclear family dynamic has been manipulated to fail, by the Left and its groups specifically targeting the family.
The school systems have failed monumentally though too. Only a couple of years ago when I was attempting to start a newspaper for my Alma mater one comment stung; but it didn’t hurt me. The fact was this punk graduated from the same school system with one of my brothers. He accused me of spreading propaganda because I said I wanted the paper to share the truth of history. Apparently no one explained the difference between history and propaganda. History is telling the good and bad, no sugar coating, but being objective and as detailed as possible if necessary.
I suppose it did ache a tiny bit, but at the same time it showed his audacity to speak on matters he did not understand as if he was an authority. He absolutely was not. Several people including a stood up for me integrity which felt pretty darn good. Two of them being a lady that wears many hats including Hair Stylist and School Board Member, and secondly a Former Reporter who didn’t know me quite as well as the first lady. Yet having their high opinion meant the world to me.
The world is going to go its direction. However, God created the Bible filled with real stories of second chances and the fact that the Shepherd will leave the 99 sheep to search for that one lost lamb. That is why I feel in my heart and soul that this blog is important. Every writing project I have ever done has been special and I have almost always received comments sincere and generous. If there is someone I can reach with this written word I want to leave it in God’s hands and know I have done what I know I need to do.
Do you have ways to reach the world. We have to improvise how we reach them, but not God’s word. The Gospel is still as relevant as it was when it was originally written down. Last night thinking about the scandal of the day with the Vice President and slavery. Who came to mind first… Joseph. Would anyone younger even recognize that Bible Story? That is what is missing in society!
