Although, usually we call her many catastrophe’s; word salads. She’s deluded herself into believing other people don’t comprehend history. Reading is not always a life sentence for us. You, Ms. Vice President, may not like to do your homework, but others tend to enjoy knowing the story from beginning to finish.

Instantly watching the show Outnumbered today halfway through the first video the thought came up and was like wowsers. I enjoy watching this show immensely any one of the ladies sitting on this couch usually has a refreshing, mature and competent nature about them and would definitely be more dynamic than the Vice President. She cannot handle anything, these ladies are so articulate and have bright careers in their own right.
Harris Faulkner alone, I think would be brilliant as our Vice President, if not President herself. She’s lived in and around the American Military most of her life and she handles herself regally. However, back to the matter at hand… slavery and skills learned in captivity.
One other matter this Vice President seems to be closed-minded about with slavery is that it is simply a one culture horror. Every single culture in some way from Cush in Genesis has been touched by the idea of slavery. Color didn’t seem to matter to the captor in the many stories of the bible or in the various times in World or early American History with indentured servitude.
The Vice President was worried over this statement. “Examine the various duties and trades performed by slaves (e.g., agricultural work, painting, carpentry, tailoring, domestic service, blacksmithing, transportation) …instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”
No one in their right mind would or should condone slavery. Nimrod, a grandson of Noah was a hunter of men. Halfway through Genesis Joseph experienced life as a prisoner for most likely well over a decade. He wasn’t dark-skinned, but that didn’t seem to matter to Potiphar when he bought this man from the slave ship.
As I was watching Outnumbered and hearing the Vice President insult the intelligence of the American public this idea persisted. No one asks to be enslaved. However, it is up to the person to take full advantage of what is given to them isn’t it?
I mentioned the Count of Monte Cristo being a favorite movie of mine. He was a poor man with little education and became a prisoner in a horrible prison, yet an old man decided to give him his time and energy? What did he think he would do with this new knowledge that this man was giving him. The ability as slaves or prisoners to make use their God-given brains and become the educated people they couldn’t have become without these unfortunate circumstances is a person making good use of their resources.
Perhaps the slave owner or master is not as mean spirited if they are giving access to their slave to resources they would not ordinarily give. Thomas Jefferson and his slave Sally Hemmings who becomes the mother to several of his children comes to my mind. She was among his slaves allowed to go to France with him she learns the French language as well as loves to read and he encourages this love for books.
So again how does this woman still have a job? She is trying to create waves where there should not be! Slavery should not exist, but as long as we are sinners and imperfect sin will always be around. Forcing a division over one sentence and not taking into context the idea being talked about is tiring.
