Days after my ‘Eye Scratch’ event and it almost feels like nothing happened. The key word is almost, when I drove to church today or went to Grandma’s I felt the sun bearing down on me. Unfortunately I have had to make a choice for either my prescription glasses or my sunglasses.
When I have only gone with my sunglasses I started to get a headache. It didn’t feel good. Fortunately someone else was driving so I didn’t have to have my glasses on for that reason. Yet one of the fall outs from having a band-aid in my eye. So for considering the pain I felt most of the day on Thursday and for part of the day on Friday, I am actually in good shape.

Every Sunday Afternoon usually a group of us show up at Grandma’s residence. My little stinker of a cousin was being a pill. Now my niece said no to the picture I used to show what I wanted my hair to look like. Our cousin didn’t see my hair until last Sunday for the first time. The look on her face said the same thing. No! Never did I think that the girls I am around the most would be so blatant about not liking my hair chopped off.
Fortunately for me I don’t need their permission or for them to like it. It was a decision made that was warranted for my soul and for a new chapter in my life. Some really good things have happened with my writing and with the conversations with my boyfriend. This was for me and I will not let this one loud opinion get to me. My niece has already gotten used to it, but this little missy really gave me some cane about it today.
This afternoon for the first time in a month, after the doctors basically prepared our family for a much different reality; my aunt surprised us. Grandma had all 6 of her children in her suite today. My aunt is looking much healthier and surprised every one of us today.
It is a difficult day to not appreciate God’s Blessings!
