Americans are some of the most entrepreneurial titans of the world. If you can do something you love you never work a day in your life. As far as the history of motorcycles in my family it is a complicated and yet simple stance. Two stories are always on my mind when I hear or see these vehicles, both are not stories that make me want to climb aboard one personally. Yet I know that my Dad did in fact have one.
My thoughts don’t necessarily matter, I do know to be cautious around them when driving. This is also why it absolutely befuddles me that I enjoy watching Counting Cars. Apparently, watching these, sometimes little boys and their mannerisms, create magic with their hands is entertaining and fascinating.
Maybe it’s their infectious spirit to do some of the wildest things with vehicles for other people and to put their heart and soul into each design. Since Dad and I began watching this show we have seen so many incredible looking vehicles. Of course, always the historian, my favorites are the special restorations or paint jobs for Veterans and Law Enforcement any of the special presentations they do on the show for special people who support the American people.

Three instances come to mind. A man who made portraits of Veterans who had died they painted his truck to be an awesome representation of the gift those portraits were to the families. It’s hard to not get choked up with these stories and they are vehicles that are turned into art.
I remember a Captain who had a motorcycle who wanted the whole crew of his ship memorialized on his bike. I don’t care for bikes, but these stories make me want to ride these special beautiful bikes for these amazing beautiful Americans.
This morning was what gave me the idea for this article, a woman a retired Law Enforcement Officer wanted a motorcycle for a very special honor. She had a family of distinguished honor men who had served the American Military in many ways honorably. Then because of them, she served and now she is a part of an Honor Guard. This is the American Spirit that is absolutely infectious and the team at Counts Kustoms is in the way that only these guys can with their brains make creative American pieces of art to show both their American Pride, but the owners pride of the vehicle.
I mean if they can get a girl who doesn’t normally want to be on a motorcycle just because it’s artistic American Pride. Well that may be a miracle!
Americans aren’t all meant to express themselves the same way. Sometimes the skills of a person no matter how different they are from you and no matter their thoughts, looks and ideas can make American magic happen.
