Summer School: Getting Lost

Monday after my class, instead of heading back north on 57 I would be heading in the opposite direction. My time in Evansville had always been with family; never on my own. Yet once I started college I began visiting with Great-Aunt Margaret, Grandpa Freddy’s sister-in-law, I think this was the beginning of my solo trips to Evansville.

This first one though took me awhile to get my bearings. I didn’t have GPS on my flip phone, I don’t really remember what directions I did have with me. It seems very unlike me, but I don’t even remember having a map. Faint memories of Lilly’s directions seem to be in the cobwebs of my mind. It’s only been… a long long time ago.

Goodness… so much has changed in our lives since that year of 2005. For one I have learned how to navigate the Lloyd Express a bit better. It really was driving me crazy trying to find my way to Lilly.

Honestly, I don’t remember how I got to her since I missed the turn off then couldn’t get back on the express. I had to call her of course to receive more up to date directions. I remember being so nervous, yet there I was in the middle of Evansville lost…
