Well my security is firstly my salvation in Christ. My Lord and Savior has given me the Holy Spirit that inhabits me, in my soul. An adventure sounds marvelous if it’s within bounds of the Holy Spirit that is within me. There are some horrific adventures I would rather steer clear from that my conscience, being the Holy Spirit will nudge me from. The question is of course will I listen and stay away from possible danger for the thrill of it or not.
Fortunately, I have read passages of the Bible and I have seen how human nature works out. They complement each other very well isn’t that something. Perhaps that was God’s intent for us to learn from a blueprint of sorts and from each other. Adventure is fun when it stays around certain parameters. Once those are blown it’s difficult to put boundaries back in place.
The Book of Proverbs comes to mind. Is it ironic the man who was known for his intelligence could be manipulated by his thousands of wives. He wanted security for his Country, yet he ruined his Country due to a never saying no demeanor toward his wives.
Boundaries work and they can create a good balance between the highest security and the thrill of a good adventure. Life isn’t meant to be hiding from fun, but being secure in various ways is important. Knowing Christ is your Savior and that your name is in the Lamb’s book of life is crucial to being secure for eternity.
