The Author After My Own Heart

When I read a book I feel like I am transported instantly to the timeframe of the page I am reading. The first author I found who gave me such a sense of how complicated life and decision making can be was Sarah Sundin. I needed the cookie cutter ending well stories until my heart through time had as well as one can; healed from mourning my uncles death.

Sarah’s stories were new to me bringing historical fiction to life. This helped bring me from the edge of despair after losing an uncle who could always make me laugh even when I tried not to.

Laughter is a form of medicine, never forget that the need to laugh is a good thing.

Her new book is an enhancement from her last few series and believe me they are all favorites of mine. The first one has special sentimental value though for me. My current read involves Paris and another Boston man, I seem to be attracted to those New Englander men, for some reason.

Reading amazes me with where I can go and escape whenever I need an escape. She has mastered what I thought she already mastered in the previous books. It took me less than 2 days to read her first book. Such a page turner, this one is that way too, but I have learned to savor the chapters a little more. Playing with words and seeing the intriguing way they were put together by the author can be so riveting. I… as a viewer, love to see this in the final product, how the interactions come off feeling.

Although… this is a book nerd’s opinion.
