Harmony in a relationship is amazing. There are differences that each couple has to explore and decide on together in private. My boyfriend and I come from different worlds. I have said this over and over again yet he doesn’t see it quite so black and white. Something about him I find very endearing and something he continues to challenge me with at times.
Church is one of those things I can’t let go of for the sake of harmony with my other half. There are special things on both lists I want my husband sitting with me at church. I have seen married women sitting alone thinking to myself why… Harmony shouldn’t go against God’s scripture. Fortunately, for us, we have had this very conversation in private.
We do complement each other in ways I never thought could be possible even in our circumstances. I also never thought I could miss a man I haven’t met when we are somehow unable to communicate. There are times I very literally feel the lack of his posts to my core, my bones. Once we get back in touch the emotions of feeling like I can breathe again just warm and fill me up once more. Talk about the harmony of those few seconds we are back in that harmony and all is well. This feels deeper than anything I have ever felt, besides the love of God and my family.
Harmonizing with the man God specifically matched me with feels surreal at times.
