An Actor: For Such A Time

There are some people that God truly puts on this earth to make a difference for such a time as this. This man has to have been made specifically for the past twenty some years. I remember, absolutely, how I was introduced to James Caviezel through my television screen at college.

My Uncle’s Tony and Mike, thought I would like this show they came across and usually they were always right. This VHS yes, wow this makes me sound old again, still not quite to my 40’s yet though. Anyhow I guess they gave it to me to borrow for the week at school. Sometimes it was irritating how well they pegged me and my likes back then. I totally fell for the story-line and with those actors. So much… I did research to see about the author and if there was a series.

The name of this major movie; The Count of Monte Cristo. Mel Gibson even said it was the conviction Jim had in this movie that inspired him to choose him to be Christ for the Passion Movie a few years later. I am not saying that either of these men are perfect at all; but I do believe God has used both of these men being actors and directors for these movies in time. They have both been on record for being openly Catholic in Hollywood. I have kept dabs on Caviezel he has done some really intriguing movies and a television series on CBS before I stopped watching that station.

Another one of his movies is Frequency a fun time-twist movie. Dennis Quaid is his dad and the son who lost his father gets a redo of the time he spent and gets to learn things. This was another of my presents from my Uncles I got to enjoy at school. Even in his Sci-Fi’s he looks cool and sophisticated now after all the roles he has fleshed out over his career. This newest one is also one of those convicting and magnetic performances.

In the last couple of years he has gotten nitty-gritty into this role. I have seen him speak on this work in videos on my Telegram feed; he has made this a mission to bring to light what Tim Ballard is doing. Child Sex-Trafficking is no joke. As a father and a practicing Catholic man Jim learned about this man who left his government agency job to continue working to disseminate this indefensible trade. Observing everything he could; he got into the trenches with this man’s team and pretty much became a member of the team. This is how incredible this man is he detests that anything like this exists and as we have heard over and over the last few years light is the best disinfectant.

What would happen if we didn’t have Godly men doing God’s work? Where would we be without a man of such conviction like Jim as an actor?

“I don’t trust Hollywood, but I know one thing about Jim Caviezel. …I know he loves Jesus, and that is important to me, someone who loves the Lord. I can at least trust in that.”

This is a discussion about the movie and Tim and Katharine’s being Catholic, marriage, plus adding to their family by three more mouths. In the past week liberals responses have gone loony over the ‘Sound of Freedom.’ Ironically this show was made more modestly, unlike the Indiana Jones which had way more money thrown into it you know for CGI effects. However, the box office says the one that audiences connected with more was Jim and Tim’s movie.

This hurts me a little, but only because I was also raised on Indiana Jones another one of the series’s all four of my Uncles have had us watch over the years. Plus being Hoosiers with the name of our state in the title, how does that not hurt a little tiny bit in this competition of ticket sales. It’s more though, it’s about values… the value of life.

However, the reason for ‘Sound of Freedom’ is a real and pressing matter. Both men should be proud of getting this into theaters. I just heard this morning, Justin Jesso singing from the Official Musical Video. It’s a good one you should see it. You might want some kleenex though. It was hard not to get emotional from the ram emotion of his voice coupled with the imagery.

Honestly has this line from Mordecai to Esther in the book of Esther ever been used so much in the history of human nature?
