Fortunately, I have not had to have any major surgeries early in life. I sailed through to 30-32 then my first surgery came and went. It was something little again, I was fortunate, but it was still under the knife. My Preacher always says something like if it’s happening to your body, nothing is ever little or minor. I was extremely blessed to have two preachers with me for that minor surgery.
However, this seemed to be the breaking loose of that fantasy of being invincible. It wasn’t very long before my hand got stuck in the car door which opened the door for my introduction to Dr. Peck. She actually said I should be receiving a fruit basket by now when I came in for our 4th surgery together last summer.
I am blessed though, her surgical team is good and I haven’t had troubles that weren’t already talked about with her ahead of time in the office. I did throw in a few variables with dialysis and my tiny fracture.
Definitely life has given me a few adventures along the way of surgeries.
