As a Bible-believing woman, I know God takes care of His people. To talk about a sustainable lifestyle seems to me to signify one doesn’t trust God to provide. I am not saying it’s not good to think about taking care of our environment, but look at our world and look at what has happened in the entirety of the Bible. God did set us above the animals in order to care for our world, but we need to also base it on a Biblical basis. World leaders uniformly want to take man’s word over the Bible. So until they do, I will put my trust in God.
Millions of people left Egypt following God and He fed them and sheltered them even in the desert for 40 years. Some of this multitude saw not one but two bodies of water split in two for them to walk through on dry land with the bones of Joseph and then a second time with the Ark of the Covenant also among this amazing multitude.
Times have happened when resources have dried up. Egypt lived this themselves. Read the book of Exodus, it is truly a wonderful, stunning read. This multitude could not find good water to drink for a long time. Moses through God struck rocks in the middle of the desert to cool the tongues of Israel. God alone will see to our needs, if we listen and obey Him.
Honestly, it seems it is a lot of climate alarmism that just wants to scare people into doing stupid things. We have a garden, we like eating fresh vegetables. Yesterday we had a head of cabbage and broccoli. I made a stir fry cooking those vegetables and also had some of them in a salad raw the way I love them with Italian dressing. I think more gardens and family farms are needed. In the Great Depression my Great Grandparents had to have gardens for their families. Not only did their children learn how to help with the work and canning and eventual freezing of the vegetables they had good food on the table. They were fed well and learned a good work ethic.
I am probably the only one to think this way though, right!
