Play Time Files

Again there was a trail of pink items throughout the house with Selena’s sisters around. I didn’t remember that this phone actually had a Minnie impressionist talking when you answered the phone or tried to call out. It kept mesmerizing me that it did that and that it still worked every time one of the girls was using it.

The Piano. Tora really impressed me that day. As far as we know the girls haven’t had any musical classes, only for singing and choir performances at school. They do love music though. I was grateful she has matured a bit from stomping her hands about the keys. She really sounded like she could have been a concert pianist. Of course, she kept asking for Aunt Jewell’s opinion, honestly for making up each song she played she did make each one sound good. I have to admit she may have a talent for creating music or she’s just really good at improvising.

My classical pianist actually turned to this song. I don’t even think I have played this particular song, but I watched her put this on the piano stand as she continued to play what was in her head.

These have been I believe birthday presents for Selena over the years. She loves to sing and she has used these quite a bit. These look rather harmless right? Usually they are! Summer the other day tried to get me to sing with the Moana one. I could not remember the words and I was dealing with at least the first round of her shots by that time. You know that is a lot to contend with and the voice with the microphone is fast. I couldn’t keep up. I mean even singers have to practice we can’t just always wing it, but she wanted me to perform right there and then.

If that wasn’t enough she found a way to turn the microphone upside down right next to my ear and drown out my hearing. All I could hear was the music from that mic. So viewers beware of microphones out there don’t lose your hearing from little smart cookies who know the ins and outs of toys.

I do hope you have enjoyed these little play time occurrences. Something about just letting loose with the girls in their imagination gave me this idea to outline some of our fun. All of these ‘Files’ literally came from one day with three girls for an entire afternoon.

With a safe space, love and imagination what can happen…
