How do you practice self-care?

My passions help me to relax. I enjoy listening or creating music and reading a good book from Sarah Sundin. She is my number one author of a long list of amazing woman authors. If I’m on my foot too much a good bath with epson salt can really soothe the sore tendens in my foot plus I usually like to read in a good bubble bath.

Self-care means putting yourself first in order to be better to work and for others. It’s not always easy to do in some situations. As a caretaker it’s really difficult to put yourself above the one you are caring for we found that out the hard way with Grandma Rosie. Time with her was precious, but it took a toll on our family as well. The fact is sometimes it just takes one thing to maybe splurge on for yourself for a bit so you can be the person that they need.

Love may be the gas, but breaks are necessary. I know right now I need a vacation. I want to go back to the Ark again, but I want my niece to go. I need a change of pace and to experience God’s goodness brought back to life. The first visit was such an infusion for my soul, yet it was short.
