How do you want to retire?-Writing Prompt

Daily writing prompt
How do you want to retire?

To answer this question I looked up all the meanings. Already in my life a sort of backing away has happened in some job capacities. Being a cashier and working on cement with my feet was my first walk away. I had to wear a boot for over half a year and my ankle has not fully or will not ever fully heal. One month working in a nursing home as a maintenance lady for a month created a knot on my wrist and alluded to two pretty big surgeries for me. All this happened because I wanted to work.

Dialysis I truly believed was my career especially once I got to really understand the concepts due to better planning and teaching from the Company. I worked for months having a full-blown ulcer, so many stress headaches, I am finally going to be seen by my neurologist for those migraines tomorrow. It has taken that long to get into him, his office had to reschedule once.

Retirement is not even a thought I want to consider with writing. Plus I come from a line of hard heads Grandpa Freddy retired from GE after 30 years, but he was always a farmer and then died before he could retire. Grandma Betty continued to do things by herself and only till this year did she move into a retirement community at 96.

I don’t believe I am really in control of when I will retire. It has always been in God’s Hands!
