This is the adaptable piece of our lives that’s always changing. While we were farmers we were always busiest at Springtime and Fall due to Planting and Harvest Seasons. Taking vacations was difficult between school and farming.
Where there’s a will, though there’s a way.
The balancing ability is different for each person and what they are dealing with. My last job allowed me my nights off, yet I had to be in really early. Sunday was off except for major holidays. How do you make that work? Having to be up at 3 or 4 in the morning and in bed by at least 8 to start the process all over again. I am grateful it’s over with now. Yet working that same shift for 3 or 4 days straight is difficult. There is no home life, but it made for a pretty good paycheck.
My balance keeps changing due to various factors. Right now I’m writing in a crowded house writing for this blog instead of finishing the book I would like to finish. Too much family can be as intoxicating as too much work. I’m still working on this idea of balance!
