What’s In My Head Tonight!

Wow! What a day. Everything was taking shape I had several ideas going through my mind this morning for a series and just random ideas due to some upcoming dates.

Then after lunch I looked on you-tube as I do periodically and found dynamite. The title of the video said Janice Dean testifies before Congress on Covid nursing home deaths. The total time to watch this showed 2 hours and 24 minutes really it was minus 10 minutes. I immediately pushed on it and literally watched the whole thing, but it took longer because I wrote out notes from the ensuing questioning and intriguing testimony from the representatives and their own medical practices.

I will get into this more soon, but even three years later what my family went through at the same time was devastating as well. I could not stop the tears from falling as I heard the various testimony from like I said those in front of the committee as well as the various doctors who were also working through covid. It was incredibly eye-opening and therapeutic to listen and see that bipartisanship had been maintained during these 2 plus hours. No one raised their voices it was a poignant and well done session.

After all of that which was a lot I followed through on a promise. I have been needing to get back into my musical groove once again. Honestly, I have felt somewhat lost in the past several years. Too many surgeries in a tight time frame has not helped, but a couple of Church moves have also been at play for me as well. Life can be funny. I have described myself to someone as there are times I’m musical and times I’m in my history elements. Sometimes in between I get to be both, but it doesn’t seem to last very long. Yet it feels good to be in the middle of doing my passions.

The Lord has been good to me, but a lady not fully using her learned talents isn’t at her full potential now is she?

Today nothing I did was planned, yet I feel like I have run a marathon between the committee and practice after church tonight. The fun twist this evening as I parked to go into church was the fact I had missed my text from the clinic. My new eyeglasses came in today and I didn’t get a chance to pick them up. So tomorrow I am excited to be able to go into town and pick them up. My glasses are at least 4 if not 5 years old. Suffice it to say it’s past time to be seen by a doctor, but it will be nice to have glasses without scratches.
