A quote sounds really nice sometimes to hear, but verses from scripture give me comfort. Romans 8:28 has stayed with me through my life. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.
I have also interviewed several World War 2 Veterans. I will never forget Bob McClure and that he read to his unit the 91st Psalm before going on missions time after time after time. That passage of scripture is amazing imagery and hearing those words are reassuring for whatever lies ahead in one’s day. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”. God provides a refuge for us within his shadow and in His fortress verse 2.
With God at our helm we have security in Him for whatever we may face good and bad throughout our day.
