I find it difficult to pick one holiday over another. The main reason for holidays is to spend time with family and celebrate what God has given us with each specific special day. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, but so is Independence Day, Memorial Day and Thanksgiving.
Each year is a little different with new faces or the lack of certain faces. Life moves on and we make the best of each family or friendly event. It is also the spice of life not knowing what will be the change of pace in each setting. Traditions are important, but sometimes taking in the moment with its spontaneity is what is needed to truly appreciate both together.
Memories are meant to be remembered so I have taken the mantle at different times to take the fun and poignant pictures over the last few years. It’s because my cousins and I have enjoyed playing memory lane with the pictures of us that I also want the same for our new generations in the family. A picture is worth a thousand words.
