Calling All Women

The 21st Century was bound to be the reckoning for craziness worldwide with the tech revolution. The past 50 years have seen steps go to absurd heights with phones, cellphones and now to iPhones. Craziness was literally around the corner.

The term ‘woke’, brought on such a cautionary tale of businesses and celebrities being caught either being woke or not woke enough. How could our culture not be killing brain cells with screens in our faces constantly and people fencing us through entertainment and with our purchases. It does not take a rocket scientist to see what’s happening and what it creates. There is always an action and a consequence. However, why does this seem to be more directional in one way? Women aren’t exactly taking over men’s sports are they?

Women need to be empowered right now. How scary is it that a real woman was attacked just for telling her story. She worked hard for years to get to a championship for a man, not a biological woman, to basically steal what she worked hard for for many years. Riley Gaines is a hero for standing up!

Over the weekend one of the writing prompts asked to write down what I was thinking. My thoughts were about women and then I added on some amazing women who in their own way protected the nation of Israel. Over the years I have related to many of the women of the bible who were courageous as well as righteous.

Do you need to be inspired by women who fought alongside the men. In my Easter Series finale, I mentioned several ladies who put their money into the coffers providing provisions women of status, keenly aware of the needs of God’s men. Jochebed, Miriam, Shiprah and Puah, Rahab, Deborah, Ester, and Hannah. These are just a few of them whose actions, support and prayers guided the nation of Israel.

We here in America’s early years took those stories from the bible and led the efforts to imagine a Judeo-Christian Nation. I think remembering their lives would help us to refocus on Women’s lives and their freedoms today. Women need to be protected and this falls in line with a man and a woman being married and providing the support for a family. Families can be complicated don’t forget love must be unconditional. One belies the other; a family must be loved and supportive. No one outside of the family will care more for their children’s well-being than the parents that brought them into the world in most cases.

Have you ever explored which Biblical Woman you may closely relate to?
