American History, what does this phrase make you think or feel? Do these words bubble up, old, boredom, not necessary for today? If that is what you think do you know your own history?

Do you realize our very existence as Americans is nothing short of absolutely Miraculous?

For starters the men who were envisioning our country at its conception; were pious men. Worldly kings and their empires held no appeal for these Colonial inhabitants. They wanted a country led by God at their helm and they sought His voice again and again. He heard the cries of these people who wanted only to serve Him on this beautiful continent with His principles guiding them.

No other country in the world has been created under such wondrous conditions. These Patriots knew their Bible and World History well, earthly kings had reputations of being carnally minded. They wanted God as their only King! What could be more beneficial for the birth of a new Nation, under God, compared to the long list of damaged kingdoms throughout history.

The instances of God’s prevailing touch in the American Revolution are too many for this introduction. Prayer is powerful, only the person praying knows how much they interject into their prayers. The humble praying of God’s people was a beautiful scene for God to see. This, war, was a righteous war, and the outcry of His people moved Him greatly. The humbleness of that generation was enough that God was so delighted by the sight. The effort He saw His people go to brought His favor to them along with His muscle against the British enemy.

Christian, how is your prayer life this year? How exciting is this that when one or two or more prayed together they were able to rebel from a tyrant regime and create something as special, as America? Nothing that they accomplished through this journey was done by themselves alone. God saw them through each and every trial and victory!

God doesn’t change. He was and is ! So what has changed in our Country?

The 2020 Republican Convention was spectacular. I loved how they weaved all of the American History with the beautiful speeches of the diverse entity called Americans. We need more of those History lessons. Each day is an opportunity to learn Biblical and American History. Always remember that we would not be here if not for the real accounts of the Bible. As God brought Israel into being through Abraham, our pious, God-fearing American Colonists, were also God’s vessels for the United States of America!

How many people wake up in the morning wondering why they were not fortunate enough to be born an American? Why do foreigners want to come here? On the flip side why was I born in America? What special purpose does each American have and what good could be done if each one of us sought God… for the unique purpose He gave you… and me? Selah!

Selah is a Bible word that essentially means to ponder on what you have read.
