In the last several years, this is sad but I use my surgeries as measuring sticks. My second carpal tunnel surgery was done the week before Christmas of 2019. That was the month I began to very cautiously blog. I didn’t really know what I was doing and got very nervous about every post. Sparrow Files lasted over a year, but it did not get the traffic that I have been amazed by on this site. Using Wix was fun and easy, but I had a lot to learn. My favorite and biggest piece was ‘The Hearts of our Patriots’.
My second site was for a beautiful dream that died and was burnt to ashes. Yet I learned about a program that allowed me to make online newspapers and loved working and finding the way to fit things together in it. I can’t get those e-newspapers on this site; it’s a big disappointment.

Writing is like talking to a therapist, being a researcher, and a museum curator all in one. Which is why I enjoy doing this, we humans are meant to share our griefs and our celebrations to converse and assist each other through them. Another reason I am a christian. Where else in society do you see such a group putting others’ needs before their own as Christ showed us. Sometimes actions are needed and other times a listening ear is all that is warranted. Showing and sharing compassion is important.
Nearly 2 weeks have passed since the upgrade on Easter. The statistics give me an idea of what is popular and how many have seen, but do you relate to the articles I have posted? What are your thoughts about the types of topics? Do the words shallow or superficial come to mind in one way or another? Do they have enough meat-good researched content? Some are filled with opinion and research.
Music and history are broad topics which I like due to the ability to do as broad an article or as heavily narrow as I want to. Plus they are my passion subjects. My faith and salvation and Biblical history with intricate stories are also wonderful testimonies of Christ still working today. I enjoy sharing how incredibly complex God is and can be in order to reach our heart and soul.

Some of my dear friends have left comments this week. Another first for me, on the other sites that didn’t happen. So these mean a lot that they added their 2 cents, as Grandpa Freddy would say. What are you thinking about these days? What do you need to read about? Do these articles touch you in some way or do you need them to do more so to continue to read my posts?
Teaching was something I didn’t feel called toward. Although I did teach and assist with Sunday School for 10 years. American history is special because our Founding Fathers had the Bible and history at their hands. They saw what happened in monarchies and every ancient country from the Bible onward. Unlike the Jew’s in the Old Testament saying they wanted a King, our Patriots said no, God alone is what we need at our helm. This country and how it was born is special and that alone is a mission I strive to remind Americans of and how incredible those stories truly are, but what if we did not have God on our side. America may not have ever existed the way it has for over two centuries.
These are my thoughts in my head for today. Please feel free to leave a message or like this. I am still very excited about each of the topics over the next few weeks. God likes to also add some flavor to my material from time to time so whatever I envision is usually a little different by the time I press the publish button.

God Bless and have a beautiful day!
