Editing Note

The Hearts of Our Patriots is a very favorite piece of mine. During the Covid experience we heard a lot of garbage. One particular comment was from a daytime show and the person spoke about our Founding Fathers in a general derogatory manner, not depicting them at all the way I have learned from reading their actual letters in research.

Honestly, it was insulting for a foreign-born celebrity to enjoy the fruits of life in America only to cheapen the lives of our ancestors who died for these rights. This is what our Patriots fought so hard for and to hear her lessen their integrity was infuriating.

So I did what I love to do I researched and fortunately a lot of that was done in my own Bible with some assistance from my commentaries. I had this idea in my head sometime late spring into summer of 2020, but I took a breath and put it on the back burner. I didn’t want to be hot-headed and wanted the research to be tightly sound as I believed it was yet I needed to marinate over it for a little while. I finally published it under my Sparrow Files blog in August I was unsure how to proceed I didn’t promote it other than on the blog and my Facebook account. However, I did see the stats that 175 people that viewed the article. I then used it again for a Newspaper where I changed and added more research. I don’t know how many people have actually read this anymore.

Only God knows, but it was emotional, and exciting to go over research of our Founding Fathers again. I have done much more with World War 2 with the content for my book. So it was a wonderful way to go back to my original love of history. Hopefully soon I will also finish a piece dealing with my Dad’s ancestors who lived and breathed the Revolutionary War after coming here from Germany. Another story and another time though.
