The night of Grandpa Leo’s viewing I heard so many people in the funeral home mention the phrase POW. It was that night that something sparked in my head and my heart. However, it was my high school history teacher who showed me how fun and amazing American history really was, but that switch for me was able to happen with Grandpa’s death as a teenager. Having an awesome teacher helped my love for history in general to flourish into a bachelors degree.
